The Opportunity

To help continue fuel our growth, we are looking for a customer focused, goal-oriented, high-energy, Business Development Representative to expand our Growth team. Our Growth team is responsible for sourcing and executing partnerships to fuel growth at scale. This role will report into the Business Development Manager. This is a permanent full-time position in our Gastown Vancouver HQ, walking distance from shops, restaurants, and public transit. Compensation is based on experience and includes stock options and benefits.

As a part of our Business Development team you will...

  • Develop target prospect lists and execute cold outreach to executives at data companies to help build out new partnerships
  • Create unique partnerships with companies in order to expand Trulioo’s coverage
  • Negotiate contracts, partnerships and licensing agreements
  • Develop industry relationships with prospects, track and manage potential deals, and assist in driving business decisions
  • Support additional business development activities that support growing Trulioo's overall corporate objectives

We’re looking for someone who has...

  • Relevant internships or experience working in business development, partnerships or sales - recent graduates welcome.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with varying levels of colleagues, customers and partners (e.g. from early-stage startups to executives at large companies).  
  • Entrepreneurial with the ability to build relationships, communicate product knowledge, solve partner problems, and work in ambiguous environments.
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Undergraduate degree required.

It’s a bonus if you have...

  • Experience in partnerships with international data companies
  • Understanding of the consumer data landscape
  • Established contacts in the consumer data space
  • Ability to speak other languages
