The Opportunity

To help continue fuel our growth, we are looking for a customer focused, goal-oriented, and high-energy Director of Strategic Sales to join our Vancouver head office. The Strategic Sales team drives large scale engagements with a focus on institutional, multinational, and other high value targets in the Finserv, Payments, eCommerce, and Technology verticals. This role carries a high level of responsibility and expectation. This is a full-time position in our Gastown Vancouver HQ, walking distance from shops, restaurants, and public transit. Compensation is based on experience and includes stock options and benefits.

As a part of our Strategic Sales team you will…

  • Work directly with the CEO to help develop and implement sales strategy and execution for new Strategic Accounts
  • Build a strategic plan with key performance indicators and targets against an established timeline
  • Perform outbound and other activities to grow the sales funnel
  • Plan, build and maintain strong business relationships with key prospective customers
  • Convert long tail and complex sales cycles against established revenue targets
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism, and demonstrate an acute understanding of how to sell Enterprise-level customers

We’re looking for someone who has…

  • Minimum 5+ years B2B software sales experience and a proven track record specifically executing complex business deals with large clients in a startup environment
  • Experience in a revenue generating role working directly with an Executive team and/or Founder/CEO
  • Ambitious and driven, coupled with a personable, collaborative and entrepreneurial approach
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, deliver results under pressure, and adapt to changing business requirements
  • Excellent executive presence with an ability to communicate effectively and engage with both technical leadership and business executives
  • Ability to travel as needed, while accustomed to the flexible schedule required for a global customer base

It’s a bonus if…

  • You have experience in GRC or KYC/AML software and previous exposure to the Finserv, Payments, and/or eCommerce verticals.
