The Opportunity

To help continue fuel our growth, we are looking for a detail-oriented, goal-driven, high-energy, Project Coordinator to expand our Technology team.Our Technology team goes above and beyond to ensure our software systems are robust and highly maintainable. We are a 24/7 operation that requires on-call coverage to serve any technical incidents that may arise. This role will report into the Director of Technology. This is a full-time position in our Gastown Vancouver HQ, walking distance from shops, restaurants, and public transit. Compensation is based on experience and includes stock options and benefits.

As a part of our Technology team you will...

  • Coordinate software development and IT projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Interact with multiple stakeholders throughout the implementation process to ensure that deliverables and responsibilities are correctly defined
  • Manage and mitigate risks in order to ensure that milestones are achieved
  • Own the Software Release Management (SRM) lifecycle and follow up with department heads of Technology and Product to ensure that all dependencies are in place to successfully deploy applications on time and on budget, with high quality
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting and coordinating of all activities for the SRM and other IT projects
  • Oversee the day-to-day progress of projects and SRMs with regards to resource, scope and timelines
  • Provide leadership and direction to project team members to ensure successful outcomes
  • Manage change by utilizing effective communication across multiple teams
  • Identify and propose improvements where necessary
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, Quality Assurance, DevOps and Product Managers to ensure requirements are clearly defined and resources scoped out

We’re looking for someone who has...

  • BSc degree in computer science, engineering, business or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years coordinating or managing IT projects in technology sector
  • Prior experience in software development capacity
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and BitBucket
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills, as well as passion for work in a team environment with the ability to resolve conflicts and align people
  • Experience working in agile development team
  • Self-starter looking to contribute significantly to the team
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Proficient in the English language with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must
